2 in the Morning!
Usually this is my shift to sleep but Jeff has gotten a cold again and I am trying to be a good wife and let him rest. Of course, what this means for me is a looooooong night with the boys. They are both sleeping right now but Blake is due to eat soon and trying to wake up to feed a baby after being asleep for a short time is just no fun for anybody. So I thought I would take this opportunity to post a couple of pics.
Everyone enjoying a little "tummy time".

Even Bella wanted in on "tummy time"!

Not much else to report. The boys are now 7 weeks old. Blake has hit the 6 pound mark and Nico is close to 8. I've had a few friends come and help and I am taking all the offers I can get. Thank you Elisabeth and Shauna! If you want to come and hold, feed, change a baby, please let us know.

Blakey, keep your hands to yourself!

I hear babies stirring so I better go!
Oh, I have to mention that work threw me an awesome baby shower last week. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We got lots of great stuff, including both of our high chairs, an amazing scrapbook already handmade, a Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag, and some other great gifts that I am forgetting..............sorry, it's late!
Hope you are all well!

My Boys
Just wanted to post quickly and tell Hillary, Lynda and Beth that I am so impressed that you all know my boys so well despite only seeing them in pictures! Yes, the picture that is labeled wrong is the black and white one that I thought was Blake. It is actually Nico and was taken the day we brought him home from the hospital. Keep in mind, I was writing the post at midnight and I was dozing off.......I know, I know, excuses, excuses, right?
Thought I would post a quick picture I captured today.

How well do you know our boys?
After I posted last night I realized that one picture is labeled wrong. I pointed it out to Jeff and he insisted it was the baby he indicated. He double checked his files and mom was right, he got the babies confused. I could just go back to my post and edit it, but I thought it would be more fun to see if anyone could figure it out. Good luck!
Still Here..........
Hello Family and Friends-
Sorry we haven't posted in a while. The days and nights seem to just go by and we are somewhat in a daze most of the time. Our days are spent feeding, changing, holding, and entertaining babies. On a good day we remember to feed the dogs breakfast before dinnertime and Jeff manages to get more than 2 hours of work done. So you can imagine my frustration when I had written a long post the other day and somehow it just *POOF* disappeared before I had a chance to save it............Cyberspace, can't live without it, but it can also make you crazy!
Anyways, I'll keep the text brief as I have Nico crying right next to me as I type. Blake seems to be stirring too. The boys are growing like weeds! At our Dr.'s appointment Monday Blake weighed 5 pounds 2 ounces and our future "Lights Out" (one of our favorite Chargers' football players), Nicolas, is tipping the scales at 7 pounds 2 ounces. Both boys gained 12 ounces in 7 days. Our Dr. was VERY happy about that!
The boys have now met all of their grandparents. A HUGE thank you to Nancy, Jim, my dad, and Cay for all of your help with cooking and cleaning while you were here. We are looking forward to your next visit. My mom, who lives in town, has also been a big help. She spends her days off helping us with housecleaning. In addition, in her oh so motherly way, she worries about my "weight loss" (I'm back to my prepregnancy weight- so really nothing to worry about) so she continues to cook for us when she is here. We'll post some family pics next time.
Here are some recent pics. We apologize if they are not in chronological order. Too tired to worry about that right now!
Nico with a very tired mom! (Where's the photoshop for mom?)

Poor Guapo resting after a long night with the babies. Even the dogs are tired!

Nicolas getting his first bath!

Mr. Blue Eyes. It has been confirmed that Nicolas has mommy's eye color!

Blake is constantly reminding Nicolas to respect his side of the bed! ( Blake on the left.)

My handsome little man Blake. Isn't he perfect?

Big yawn!
That's all for now. We have some family pics to post but we'll to get to those later......It's way past my bed time so I hope you enjoy these! Jeff and I are now doing everything in shifts- sleeping, eating, showering, etc and it's my shift to sleep!

Blake sleeping peacefully.
"Happy St Patrick's Day" from Nicolas. We thought a little Guiness in his bottle might help him sleep better tonight. He! He!
Mommy and her boys. I didn't drink the beer, but I did enjoy a half of a draft cider. (after pumping of course!)

Lovin' Our Boys
Hello All-
We have survived our first 2 nights of having both boys home! I decided to take matters into my own hands and took some pictures with my cheapy camera. Jeff is trying to maintain his business while helping me care for the little ones and his pictures will come, just not immediately.
Here we are leaving the hospital. Hopefully we won't be back for a loooong time!

Our little man Blake, all 4 lbs, 1 oz of him!

Brothers reunited!

Love this one!

Proud Dad bringing both babies into the house!

Stay tuned for more...........
Love, Rebeca

Finally a Family
As I write this post Jeff is frantically searching for his Beatles record that has the song "Help!". That basically sums up how we are feeling right now, but in a good way of course!
Yes, "our lives have changed in oh so many ways and our independence has seemed to vanish in the haze." Paul and John could not have worded it any more precisely!
Blake was discharged this afternoon and we have made it through one feeding so far. Jeff took care of Nico, who goes from happy to starving in about 5 seconds. Blake was also unhappy that it was half hour past his regular feeding time in the NICU.
When we got home with yet another baby, the dogs were just beside themselves! Which baby should they sniff first?? Bella was under the chair as I was feeding Blake when Nico starting crying from across the room. She seemed very confused for a moment, but quickly figured out that our pack just increased in size!
So, I will keep this brief as we prepare for middle of the night feedings. Wish us luck and keep checking for pictures. Jeff is excited that both babies are home now and will be shooting away!
Love,
Rebeca, Jeff and our beautiful boys
